Mission ● Vision ● Core Values
Cedar Creek's operating system is built around its mission. Why do we do what we do? Because...
We exist to lead people into a growing relationship with Jesus.
We have a great mission, but without a clear vision, we tend to be reactive and defensive. We can’t distinguish the people, places, and things around us. And often, we miss the important opportunities right in front of us. What’s worse, without a vision, we don’t take risks. We won’t lay it all on the line...King Solomon wrote in his collection of Proverbs that “without a vision, the people will perish.” The leaders of this congregation don’t want us to perish; they want us to thrive. So at the beginning of 2016, they developed what we call our 20/20 Vision.
By 2020, Cedar Creek will be home to 650 family members engaged in life groups, serving, and sharing.
Our leaders developed five core values that define the culture in which we will achieve vision.
Our Core Values
- We strive to be like Jesus.
- We value both grace and truth.
- We intentionally seek authentic relationships.
- We serve beyond ourselves.
- We pursue spiritual transformation.
