Began work at Cedar Creek: 1997
Birthday: July 27
Hometown: Harlan, Indiana
Other family details: Live in a converted farmhouse with four children, ages 2-9: Elijah, Maria, Ilana, and Isaiah. Leah and Chris, Eric’s mother and brother, also live with them, along with 12 really colorful fish.
Work history: Picking fruit in orchards, cook-trainer-maintenance guy at McDonalds, stocker/manager at Walmart, resort pools maintenance, a stint in Dominican Republic building schools/churches, and teaching/transporting kids – all before coming to Cedar Creek.
Educational history: Studied in California at Ventura College, in Ohio at Cincinnati Bible College & Seminary, and in Minnesota at Central Lakes College in Brainerd.
Faith background: Grew up in a preacher’s house attending a conservative Christian church in Mississippi. Baptized at 10, but didn’t really yield life fully to Christ until later. When parents moved to California, they experienced a spiritual renewal of sorts, and the desire to lead worship and teach was cemented there.
Best part about my job: Working with a team to creatively communicate truth.
